Always trim wooden wicks to 1/4 inch before lighting. When lighting your candle for the first time, let it burn for 3-4 hours to allow the melted wax to reach the edge of the container to prevent your candle from tunneling.
Be sure to trim your wooden wick BEFORE each burn.
Candle Safety:
Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from anything flammable. Trim the wick to a 1/4 inch before lighting and use proper, sturdy holders. Avoid keeping your lit candle near drafts, ceiling fans, air currents, and keep candles out of children's reach. Discontinue burning a candle when 1/4 inch of wax remains in the vessel.
